Throughout my years teaching i've seen a direct correlation between family support and student success.
How did I create the idea for Parent coaching?
DOING PARENT CONFERENCES. I have always been very intentional about whats shared during conferences. Student work is a must; the good and not so good. My goal is to give parents a clear understanding of their child's strengths and struggles. I found the majority of parents were asking about support at home. As a result, I saw an increase of student growth as parents were able to implement various strategies and activities.
ABOUT PATH
WHAT: I meet with parents and families to teach them tools and strategies that they can use to support their child’s learning outside the classroom.
WHY: Parents need more support! Higher parent involvement leads to higher student achievement. Students struggle more when learning isn't reinforced with consistent practice opportunities.
